Tony Stark/Iron Man

The Avengers (2012)

He can look eye-to-eye with superhumans, demigods, and alien monsters with or without his suit because he’s more than the suit. It’s not everything he is.

He’s really a prime example of humanity. He doesn’t have anything physically impressive, strictly speaking, outside of intelligence. He’d never get in a physical fight, just one on one with no tools, with any other avenger because he couldn’t win that way. His strength comes from his intelligence, creativity, quick wit, and foresight. But with those things, he can make everything he needs to stand up with the strongest. Tony Stark doesn’t need the fastest legs or the strongest arms because he can simply create the things that make him that way.

Tony Stark stands at the top, a (mostly) normal human, with superhumans and trained professionals by virtue of little more than his own brain. And having worked to be what he is, he can look anyone in the face and say exactly what he is. He is a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist; and he is Iron Man, one of the best examples of human capability.

My dad just posted on my Facebook wall.  He wants me to go to church with him this weekend since it’s his birthday.  There are multiple problems with this. The grammar he used was FUCKING HORRIBLE. I literally want to call him and cuss him out simply because of the bad grammar. It’s been over a year since I’ve last talked him, and he only came around to get some books he gave to me that I never read. I’m Agnostic, and decide not to go to church. I have respect for other religions, but I haven’t attended a sermon at a church in years. My dad only comes around and tries to come in contact with me and my siblings only when we want something. I have a lot of siblings from him, I don’t even know the number anymore, and I love them all, but we all have one thing in common, we hate him because they’re so many of us and we didn’t know each other for years. The only thing my dad has been able to do for any of us is stay in jail and get the child support paid off. I never was on there so it’s fine. One interesting fact, I did learn about him was that he was in the military and a war when he was younger. Meaning, there’s the possibility of me getting money for college because of the GI Bill for war veterans. It may seem wrong to use him to get my education paid, but I really don’t care. He hasn’t done shit worth anything good for me in 17 years. Probably the last good thing he’s done was change my diapers when I was baby. I did get some things just from being his son and having them in my DNA. One of them is not giving a fuck, and that is kicking a lot right now.
